Presentation of the M.A.P project in Equality Spaces and associations

Descripción

Interactive presentation-talks on gender-based violence from a visual and emotional standpoint, featuring visual material and dramatized texts that combine factual information with artistic elements.

This activity is designed as a talk for people who have already connected with MOSIS, most likely through its Artrededor MAP App (the module on gender-based violence) or the book that compiles the archive of 132 uxoricides. The session begins by introducing the VIDAS-UXORICIDIOS Project: Archive of women killed by their male partners in the Comunidad de Madrid between 1999 and 2020. The origins of the book are explained. This is followed by a shared reading of about ten stories. It continues with the research findings resulting from the creation of the book. The Art-rededor App is then introduced, and assistance is provided to help download the App onto mobile phones.

Objetivos

The shared talk and reading help ensure that domestic violence stops being perceived merely as a phenomenon, allowing people to visualize an individual rather than a number when thinking of a victim. It succeeds in destabilizing myths surrounding the issue and contributes to revealing a different reality.
